I was looking for a clutch that works well for special work situations like a conference dinner or reception, going for lunch with colleagues, attending an award banquet, as well as for evening events like going out with friends, seeing a fashion or other show, and of course for date night. Sort of a chameleon that one can dress up and down and that can easily be the finishing touch of First Friday outfits. Something special, unique, and practical that works with all kind of outfits.
When I saw the Bellorita clutches, I knew I had found what I was looking for since a long time. You can imagine, I was more than excited to be invited to choose a sample for review. I picked the so-called Fish Black Cross-body Clutch. Note this beauty also comes in blue.
When I opened the package arrived, the first I noticed, was the great light scent of real leather. When I took the clutch out of its protection wrap, I was excited by the great beauty of the design. Think the motives of Asia paired with the classic European leather work tradition made in Los Angles. A perfect West meets East.
The engraved and sensitively blooming painted fishes look like pieces of art separated by a band of the most beautiful pebbled black leather. The outstanding textured black leather has a nice slightly shiny grain, which matched beautifully the luster of the pearls of the “air bubbles.” The craftsmanship is excellent. No rests of clue. Every seam is straight. Excellent leather. One sees that great attention was paid to every, even the tiniest detail in the production process.
This bag can be worn as an elegant evening clutch or as part of afternoon wedding outfit, on a short wrist band (perfect for conference buffets and receptions, First Friday outfits) or as cross-body (work, going out for lunch with colleagues). In the latter case, the piece hangs on a delicate gold shoulder chain. A very nice, posh Euro Chic Style touch.
I was looking for a unique, well designed and organized clutch for a long time. You know one where everything from car key, cash, comb, beauty essentials, phone, to drivers license, and credit card have their own space. A purse, where you can keep organized, and aren’t at the risk to loose something, when you take out your phone, lipstick, keys or whatever. This clutch has an interior center zip pocket, 16 card slots for credit cards, driver’s license, and passport card, and seven slip pockets. The bag closes with a snap on the front flap. Have a look at the collage below, and you will see how well this beauty solved this problem for me.
This clutch/cross-body is 10 inches (25 cm) times 5 inches (13 cm) and 2 inches (5 cm) deep. It comes with a wrist strap having a drop of 8 inches (20 cm; see photo at the beginning of this post) and a 24 inches (61 cm) shoulder chain. It weights 1.2 lbs (544 g).
I was positively surprised about the price of only $199! This purse is very affordable <3 . Since it goes for so many real world dressing situations, the price-per-wear will be below $1 in less than two years assuming you only don it only on weekends. However, when you have many business work trips, it will be below $1 in less than a year. The size even allows to use it as a wallet and carry it in your carry-on when on planes.
Some bags of Bellorita’s collection have to be pre-ordered, i.e., the bag is made on demand. The customer service gives you details on the time line. I made a very positive experience with the quick pace of their responsiveness.

Every time I donned this beauty I received tons of compliments!
